Animal lovers will have the opportunity to get a second chance at their prom. An enchanting evening of dancing, cash bar, food trucks, and a photo booth will create an unforgettable prom experience.

Second Chance Pet Adoptions is a non-profit animal rescue organization that has rescued stray or abandoned cats and dogs in the Triangle Area of North Carolina since 1987. Second Chance Pet Adoptions is the oldest no-kill rescue organization in Wake County. At Second Chance, their mission is to champion homeless cats and dogs who are healthy or treatable in the quest to find their forever homes and engage with their community to promote responsible pet ownership–ultimately reducing future generations of homeless animals

Can dogs attend Second Chance Prom?
This event is for the Humans only. With loud music and people dancing their heart out, your pup probably wouldn't enjoy this event anyways. But don't worry though, they can still be part of this magical evening! Assorted Poppies photos will be hosting a DOG Prom King and Queen Photo Contest! Your pup will have a chance to win a private photo session with Assorted Poppies photo and be titled the 2024 Second Chance King or Queen and be featured on social media, in the event program, and on the big screen during the event. (Be sure to stay tuned for details.) There will also be an option to add a doggie to go bag on to your ticket to bring the fun home to your pup as well!
This event sounds amazing, can my child attend?
Unfortunately, this event is a 21+ event. IDs will be checked at the door.
Will food be available?
An assortment of Food Trucks will be available on site during the event.
What type of drinks will be available at the cash bar?
We will have an assortment of wine, beers and ciders available for purchase via a donation to The Dog Moms of Durham. Each ticket (except the DD special ticket) will include 1 drink ticket and an event wine glass or koozie. Because The Dog Moms of Durham are dedicated to reducing the use of single use plastic, all beers will be served in their original cans and we will ask that participants hang on to their wine glass for refills. 1st drink (included with most tickets) will be $8 and will include an event koozie or wine glass. "Refills" will be $5. Liquor will not be served. All beverages must stay on the premises. No outside drinks will be allowed.
